On Wednesday, we took a team of Year 3 and 4 pupils to play in a football tournament at Garstang Academy. The team played really well together, clearly enjoyed themselves and were a joy to watch. They won three games, drew one and lost by a goal to nil to the eventual winners. Izaac only conceded two goals in five matches; Skye and Oscar were solid in defence making many good tackles and interceptions: Zac, Oscar, Aerson and Orla were fantastic in midfield whilst Freddie scored some super goals! The best part again was how they represented school – with the teacher from Garstang praising St Mary’s at the end of the tournament.
