Our School

The school is all on one level and is very well maintained. The oldest part of the building dates back to the 1732 and was the original church. Over the years, there have been several extensions to the school building. Although the school has a small frontage this disguises a spacious and welcoming interior.

The school underwent a successful OFSTED inspection in January 2017 and was deemed to be a "good" school which has "several outstanding features and provides good value for money".

The Catholic School Inspectorate rated our school 'good' during the inspection in May 2023. The inspectors noted that "....... all pupils feel happy and safe in school and are able to flourish".

Currently there are 49 children on roll, between the ages 4-11 and we are open for education from 9am until 3.30pm each day; this equates to 32.5 hours per week.

St Mary's is part of Blessed Edward Bamber Multi Academy Trust.
