Welcome to St Mary`s School Council

Our school council is made up of the year 6 pupils who represent the views of all of the pupils within St. Marys and plan events to improve our school. Some of our favourite events are our community carol and mince pie afternoon, easter egg bingo and our Summer Sponsored event.   As well as fundraising for resources within the school we organise ways to raise money for charities. Our MacMillan coffee afternoon is very popular.

This year we are continuing to raise money for new tables and chairs in the classrooms.

MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

Unfortunately, we could not invite the community to our MacMillan event this year. Instead we enjoyed cupcakes and juice in our classes. Thank you to all of the parents who sent in donations. We raised an amazing £80.91 for MacMillan.

Our final school council event summer 2021

Thank you to everybody who sponsored the children to take part in a superhero obstacle course. The children had a fantastic time and we raised an amazing £635 towards new resources for our classes.

 Christmas week

We organised a Christmas craft day with the help of the staff at St. Marys, the children had a lot of fun and made Father Christmas masks, reindeer, crackers, wreaths and toilet roll snowpeople and Santas.

We also had a wear a Christmas outfit day and a Christmas film afternoon with popcorn.

Thank you to all of the people who gave a donation for taking part in our Christmas week. We made a total of £50.50 towards our target for new tables and chairs in the classrooms.
